Becca and Georg’s big day was held on a perfect summery afternoon down by the seaside. Their ceremony was held at Fort Glanville at Semaphore, a quite unusual Adelaide venue for a wedding ceremony but Bec’s great grandfather had been the live-in caretaker there back in the day so it made it even more special with that family connection. Georg’s family had flown in from Austria to join in the celebrations and there was one aspect of the day that they had tried to keep tight lipped about and that was Bec wearing a traditional Austrian wedding dress to surprise Georg’s mum! Becca and her Mum had meticulously made the dress themselves and it was like nothing I had ever seen before, Bec looked simply stunning. The full guard of honour greeted Bec’s arrival at the fort and there was something else in store for the guests. After a beautiful ceremony in front of family and friends there was a cannon firing – talk about starting married life with a bang!! We then used the backdrops of the fort for some amazing creative shots with the white walls reminding me of somewhere in the Greek Islands! After a quick stop nearby for some photographs with their car we headed to the beach at Semaphore for the last shots of the day. With a 20 knot+ seabreeze blowing we braved the elements for some photography under the jetty and amongst the dunes before heading to the beachside deck of the Semaphore Palais for their cocktail reception. Becca and Georg partied long into the night with their guests and a fabulous time was had by all!
